Rejoinder| Re: “Where Radio Biafra got it wrong”

Our attention has been drawn to the above caption credited to our revered Catholic Archbishop of Owerri, Most Rev. Anthony Obinna published back page in the 19th edition of The Leader, May 10, 2015 and wish to associate ourselves hook, line and sinker by endorsing our seal of blessing with the views expressed by the revered cleric. In the said publication, Nnamdi Kanu was quoted by implication as questioning the Deity of Jesus Christ and claiming the cornerstone on which the indigenous people of Biafra was founded. As provocative or vexatious as his hypothesis are, we would not have…

Buhari’s Burgeoning Burden: JONATHAN AND BUHARI

Some are born great; some achieve greatness; and some have greatness thrust on them. That age-long saying fits squarely on the duo personalities that fought the epic battle to occupy the Aso Rock. From the classroom as a lecturer, Jonathan first emerged as the Deputy Governor, then chance planted him on the seat of Governor. Again, by chance he was shot up to be the Vice President and eventually the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Greatness thrust on someone, isn’t it? General Muhammadu Buhari seized power in 1984 with retired Major-General Tunde Idiagbon. They rolled out draconian…

Immediately Rochas was confirmed governor of Imo state after the re-run of the so called ‘inconclusive elections’ in 2011 I set out writing news talks advising the governor in my little capacity as a compatriot, lover of Ndigbo and Rochas fanatic what he should do. “Now that the elections had been won and lost……Which Way Forward? History will never change as one would ask right now April 25th 2015!! Hear me……That was in 2011. I reproduce some of my “recommendations” then….. If I were Owelle Okoroocha, I would capitalize on the overwhelming…

When It Pays To Be Ignorant

Pastors corner with Fr Henry Ibe

The Trinity is, understandably, very difficult concept to grasp for so many people. For all our advances in knowledge, no one at all can claim any sort of mastery on the subject of the Holy Trinity. The Church teaches solemnly that:“In God there are three Divine Persons, really distinct and equal in all things, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”The Trinity and the Incarnation are the two doctrines that set Christianity apart from other world religions. It is only by faith that we can hold on to the truth of the mysteries of God. We can only explain what…
