Top echelon of the Order of Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria converged once more on the magnificent church of Immaculate Heart of Mary Alike Obowo in Okigwe Diocese on Sunday 3rd September 2017 for conferment of 4th Degree rank on 10 brothers and sisters of the Order.

The Catholic Bishop of Okigwe, Most Rev. Solomon Amatu, was represented by the Vicar General I, Rev. Fr. Dr. Cajetan Ehiem, at the Holy Mass preceding the investiture, which was performed by the Worthy Supreme Knight Engr/Barr. Myke-Mary Nwosu, assisted by some supreme officers of the Order among them Sis Pat Ngor Nwachukwu (LSM Noble President), Bro Greg Esotu (Supreme Auditor), Bro. Patrick Chukwukere (Supreme Asst. Sec.), Bro Emmanuel Ikpam (Supreme Warden).

The Owerri Metro officers on hand to play host to their guests included the Metro Grand Knight, Bro Prince Eugene Emeakaroha, Sis Chinedu Brown (LSM Metro President), Bro Greg Mgbajiaka (DMGK), Others present include Bro. R.O.J. Kenkwo (Metro Sec.), Bro. Emma Amadi (Metro Advocate), Bro. S.U. Anyanwu (Metro Fin Sec), Bro. Godwin Agomuo (Metro Treasurer), Bro Paschal Ihemedu (Metro Chancellor), among other distinguished brothers and sisters from host Okigwe Diocese led by the CGK Bro V. Kalayor.

The Supreme Chaplain Rev. Fr. Dr. Francis Nwaiwu, Very Rev. Msgr. Dr. Celestine Nwokocha, Rev. Fr. James Anyanwu and Fr. Ignatius Namodo concelebrated the Eucharist.

Investing the new 4th Degree Knights, the Supreme Knight charged them to live up to their calling to the apex strata of the brotherhood and illuminate the larger society in darkness.

In a gesture of appreciation the Owerri Metro Grand Knight, Prince E.O.N. Emeakaroha saluted the Supreme Knight for coming despite his tight schedule, describing it as a rare proof of love and solidarity.

On behalf of the Bishop, the Vicar General thanked all the Supreme and Metro officers for coming from afar, and the co-ordinating Grand Knights, the 4th Degree Knights, all knights and Ladies of the Order for choosing Okigwe Diocese as venue for the prestigious investiture. He specially appreciated the KSM for consistent assistance to the church so far, and congratulated the newly promoted 4th Degree members.

In an interview with our reporter, one of the newly invested 4th Degree Knight, Professor Dan Dan Ekezie thanked the Supreme Knight for elevating them to the highest rank of the Order and assured him that they would live up to the expectations of their new degree.
