Candle dims as Lolo Loveth Ohajunwa goes home

The earthly remains of Lolo Loveth Chioma Ohajunwa were laid to rest at her Umudimagu – Umuakagu Nsu abode, Ehime L.G A after a funeral Mass celebrated by Rev .Fr Anyanwu Oscar at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Parish, on Friday April 27th 2018.

Fr. Anyanwu concelebrated the Eucharist with Rev. Frs. Charles Ikwuegbu, Parish Priest, Holy Trinity Parish, World-Bank Housing Estate, Owerri, Innocent Anyanwu, Emmanuel Nwosu and Maurice Jiwike.

In his homily, Fr. Ikwuegbu remarked that it is a thing of joy in heaven when a godly man or woman passes on, answering the supreme call of God. According to him, the death of a believer is the dawn of the morning before God.
He observed that the convergence of the tumultuous congregation at the requiem Mass for late Lolo Loveth E.C. Ohajunwa was testimony to her sterling quality as a devout Christian who touched lives positively both at home and abroad. He regretted the passage of the woman.

The Homilist posited that the deceased worked assiduously and painstakingly for the Lord as Vice-Chairman of Holy Trinity Parish, World-Bank, Owerri; she was also the President of Umuakagu Women Organization, Owerri branch. He eulogized her for working devotedly and sincerely with all her strength and might.

He admonished the congregation to live their lives for Christ and ensure they touch lives positively, so that their good deeds will speak for them after passage to eternity.

Aged 61 late Lolo Loveth Eucharia Chioma Ohajunwa, a professional nurse and mid-wife was daughter to late Chief and Lolo Ignatius Onyegbule of Umuihi Ogbe, Ahiazu-Mbaise LGA of Imo State was born on September 19th 1957. She is survived by Chief Frank Ohajunwa (husband), Gordon Chimere Ohajunwa, Yvonne Chinenye Ohaeri, Olive Nesochi Ohajunwa, Calista Johnson, brothers; C.B. Ngozi Onyegbule, Mr. Chinenye & Kelechi Onyegbube; Sisters including; Mrs. Ndidi Mba, Mrs. Lilian Njoku, Mrs. Ogechi Okwuonu and other relatives too numerous to mention.

In his tribute, Chief Frank Ohajunwa (husband) observed that his late wife was a great philanthropist who empowered numerous women especially those from Umuakagu Nsu and Umuihi Ogbe Ahiazu Mbaise natives. He described her as a paragon of virtues and her efforts were appreciated as she bagged numerous awards which included “Star Mother Award” from Holy Trinity Catholic Parish World Bank Housing Estate, Owerri; “Eziada Award” conferred on her by St. Pauls Parish Ogbe (her native community) and “Pillar of support to the poor” by Society of St. Vincent De Paul among other awards. Chief Frank Ohajunwa a veteran Journalist prayed God to grant solace to her soul in heaven. The Leader spoke to Dr. Mrs. Nwohu Meg, the President of Divine Sisters Association Owerr i on the reason for the presence of the tumultuous crowd of mourners. According to her, the deceased was “Love” personified, compassionate and admirable personalities who treasured in making people happy with selflessness and charitable disposition.

In his contribution, Mr. Chinenye Onyegbule regrets her passage when their family was still plotting on how to support her in appreciation of her goodwill to their family. He described her as a sister who became their mother when their biological mother passed on in 1997. Dignitaries present at the funeral included: His Royal Highnesses, Eze Emma Ibechi, Eze Nickolas Nwahiri, Dr. J.C.A. Nwugo, Arc. Emma Ukanwa, Hon. Patrick Osuji, Matthew Ntamere, Ugoeze Chigbo Nwamara, Mr. & His Worship Ben Odom, Chief/Sir Law I. Onwu, Chief Bonaventure Ohajunwa (KSM), Chief Okechukwu V.O, Chief Ajuka Isaiah, Dr. Mrs. Rita, Kenneth Okere, Lolo Dorathy Ezinwa Ikpa, Ikenne Nweze, Sir Ezimako Godson, Sir Onwuduchi A.L., C.W.O. members from Holy Trinity Parish World-Bank Owerri, Members of Divine Sisters Association, Christian Anyanwu and Chief Jerry Ohajunwa among others.
