Imo NOA boss tasks pregnant mothers on immunization

  Pregnant mothers have been advised to take the issue of antenatal seriously by ensuring regular attendance to health centres for adequate check up till childbirth and after. The Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Imo State, Mr. Vitus Ekeocha gave the advice recently during a meeting with women organizations, age grades, priests, teachers and opinion leaders in the 33 communities of Aboh Mbaise and Social networks organized by UNICEF in partnership with NOA held at the Aboh headquarters last week. 13-year-old student murdered in Mbaise

  Fear and anxiety gripped the entire village of Umuagaragu, Enyiogugu in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area on Monday following the discovery of the corpse of a 13- year- old student on bush path near his home. The deceased, identified as Uzoma Okerenkwo, whose throat was slashed by his unknown assailants was a JSS 2 student of Logara High School, Ngor Okpala L.G.A. Corps member killed in Mbaise

  Indigenes of Ezuhu Umuhu Okwuato Autonomous Community in Aboh Mbaise Council of Imo State have deserted their homes apparently to evade being arrested by security operatives following the discovery of the mutilated body of a corps member, who was posted to the community for his primary assignment. The victim was said to have strangled to death by yet to be identified assailants, who tied his legs with a rope and covered his face with cloth. Ahiara Diocese loses Rev. Fr. Dom Igwe

Ahiara Diocese has lost one of her elderly priests, Rev. Fr. Dominic Igwe who resided at St. Thomas Parish, Eziudo Ezinihitte.  The death came on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Holy Rosary Hospital Ogbor Nguru, Aboh Mbaise after a protracted illness. Fr. Igwe was a captain during the Nigeria/Biafra war and gave devoted service to the nation.  He served in so many parishes as parish priest including St. Thomas Parish, Eziudo until he became incapacitated by illness.
