  10 couples of Mt. Carmel Parish played host to friends and relatives as they were formally joined in the sacrament of Holy Matrimony during a mass wedding held at the centenary parish, recently. The couples whose names were given as Mr. and Mrs.: Anthony Ogbonna Ohale, Daniel Opara, Declan Ohale, Charles Obichere, Gabriel Anosike, Berineth Anale, Emmanuel Aguh, Michael Eewunanyanwu, Anthony Osuji and Kingsley Nnosike; were all treated to a warm reception where they perform the cake cutting ritual, courtesy of the parish CWO.    Launches N5m bus project Christ’s faithful of Mt Carmel Mother Parish, Emekuku, last Sunday April 8, joined other Catholics throughout the country to mark this year’s Mother’s Day. It was organized by the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) of the parish.   Parishioners of Mt. Carmel Church Emekuku in the Owerri North L.G.A., last Sunday, joined other Catholics across Nigeria to celebrate this year’s Feast of Christ the King of the Universe. The climax of the celebration was the procession by Christ’s faithful immediately after the Mass from the Mother Church premises a long the major road, terminating at the Emekuku High School, singing, dancing and hailing Jesus Christ as King.
