Bro Myke-Mary Nwosu (KSM) is dead

  The Supreme Knight of the Order of Knights of St. Mulumba, Nigeria, Engr. (Barr.) Myke-Mary Nwosu is dead. He died on Monday, November 13, after a brief illness. He was aged 73. The Owerri Metropolitan Grand Knight (MGK) Prince Eugene Emeakaroha announced the death during the Owerri Metropolitan Council meeting held at Mulumba Hall on Tuesday. A minute silence was held in his honour by the council members. It should be recalled that the late Supreme Knight, attended the 2017 Odenigbo Lecture in Owerri on September 3, 2017. Top echelon of the Order of Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria converged once more on the magnificent church of Immaculate Heart of Mary Alike Obowo in Okigwe Diocese on Sunday 3rd September 2017 for conferment of 4th Degree rank on 10 brothers and sisters of the Order. CWO Okigwe Diocese ends WUCCWO Week – Donates to charity

Activities marking the 2017 World Union Council of the Catholic Women Organization (WUCCWO) week in Okigwe Diocese was wrapped up Monday 5th June 2017, with courtesy visits to charity homes and the handicapped in the Diocese.   A release from the WUCCWO Regional Assembly office gave the theme of this year’s celebration as “WUCCWO Women, sowers of Hope: Commissioned to go out and bear fruits” (Jn 15:16).   The week-long activities kicked-off at parishes and were expected to feature retreat, seminar, rosary procession, visiting the less privileged and other activities as indicated by the Diocesan Council.   In her address,…

Papal Nuncio tours Obowo

During his recent pastoral tour of Okigwe Diocese, in which 25 deacons were ordained priests, the Papal Nuncio to Nigeria, His Excellency Most Rev Augustine Kasujja, visited the first dedicated church in the Diocese, the Immaculate Heart Parish Alike Obowo, 25th September 2016.
