Okada ban: Obiano floats loan scheme for affected operators

  Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano has rolled out a loan scheme called-Anambra Small Business Agency (ASBA) to cushion effects of the proposed ban on Okada operators.   The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Chief Victor Chukwunoyelum Umeh winner of the Anambra Central Senatorial District rerun election conducted on Saturday, Jan. 13 in the state. Umeh scored a total of 64,879 votes representing 95.6 percent of the votes cast to end the two years tortuous journey to the red carpet chambers of the National Assembly. Anambra election: Obiano receives Certificate of Return

  The Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano on Wednesday received a certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission for his victory in the November 18 election in the state. The event  took place at the INEC Secretariat in Awka, the state capital Obiano of APGA won the election with 234, 071 votes. Tony Nwoye of the All Progressives Congress came second with 98, 752 votes.
