Herdsmen invade Imo community, destroy multi-million naira crops

Men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have invaded farmlands in Amakohia-Ubi Autonomous Community In the Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, destroying crops and other valuable items estimated at millions of Naira in the process. The farmers who arrived their farmlands on Thursday morning counted their losses owing to the degree of destruction wreaked on their farmlands by the yet-to-be-identified cattlemen. Boko Haram kills 11 in Damaturu, 22 in Maiduguri

Boko Haram insurgents on Sunday, returned to Damaturu, the Yobe State capital almost nine months after the last attack, killing seven students and two teachers, Military authority also said three of the attackers were gunned down. Soldiers leak tactics to Boko Haram …says Chief of Army Staff

Disloyal soldiers were warned to stop fraternizing with enemies of the state. Some military men have been leaking information to the Boko Haram Insurgents, who the military are battling in three North east states. Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika, who issued the warning, revealed that the attack on a Mali-bound military convoy in Kogi State early this year followed the leaking of information on their movement to the insurgents.
