  Activities marking this year’s Mother’s Day celebration at Maria Assumpta Cathedral Parish Owerri were rounded off with presentation of various categories of awards to deserving recipients.   Friday November 17, 2017 was a day of joy for the inmates of the motherless Babies Home Emekuku, run by the congregation of the Holy Child Jesus, as the Owerri Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women organization (OACCWO) paid them a charity visit. Christian mothers have been called upon to emulate Virgin Mary by being models of holiness and uprightness. The Most Rev. Anthony Obinna, Catholic Archbishop of Owerri made the call in his sermon during the CWO Day held at Maria Assumpta Cathedral Owerri, Saturday, Nov. 11.
