Mrs. Judith Chukwu, a HND 1 student of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Imo State who last week gave birth to set of triplets through normal delivery at EUNA Hospital, Faulks Road, Aba, Abia State, has cried out for help from good-spirited Nigerians. Narrating her ordeal to THE LEADER, the 27-year-old posited that her husband Chukwunyere Joachin Chukwu, a roadside technician, lacks the capacity and resources to effectively cater for the three young infants – all female. She therefore craves the indulgence of government, corporate, non-governmental, religious organizations and good-spirited individuals to assist in ameliorating her deplorable situation so that the new kids do not die or suffer malnutrition, she said. Nekede Poly inaugurates five new committees – As NAPS honours Rector

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, Dr. (Mrs.) Cele Njoku, has inaugurated five new committees under the Academic Planning and Quality Assurance Unit (APQAU) of the institution. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony which took place at the institution’s chambers recently, the Rector said the new committees were created in order to boost the academic profile and quality of scholarship of the institution. Dr. Njoku explained that the five new committees cover major critical activity areas adding that the committees “are important because they would be the stronghold from which the polytechnic would realize its major objectives”.
