UTME: JAMB withdraws candidates list sent to varsities

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board have withdrawn the list of recommended candidates for admission earlier sent to Universities and other tertiary institutions. The announcement was contained in a statement by the spokesperson of JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin. JAMB explained that the decision was to ensure that the Senate of universities perform their statutory responsibility of conducting the selection of candidates and referring them to it for confirmation in line with the admission criteria of merit, catchment and educationally disadvantaged states as directed by the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, during the policy committee meeting. Buhari fires JAMB chief, 16 others … Appoints new executives

President Muhammadu Buhari last week sacked 16 heads of key agencies under the Federal Ministry of Education. The affected agencies are the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), National Examinations Council (NECO), Tertiary Education Trust Fund ( TETFUND) and 12 others. Don’t play with fire, admit students through JAMB not Post-UTME – FG warns universities

The Federal Ministry of Education on Monday 11th ,July sent a strong-worded statement to Nigerian universities, warning them that only the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) can admit students. JAMB releases criteria for admission into Nigerian universities

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says the point system copied from its website as criteria for admission into tertiary institutions in the country and currently circulating was a mere illustration. JAMB CBT EXAM: Candidates Condemn Innovation

The 2015 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Computer Based Test (CBT) which started on March 10, 2015 have been condemned by most of the candidates who registered for this year’s Examination. JAMB blasts varsities over low admission

The Registrar and Chief Executive of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, has threatened to publish names of universities that deny candidates admission by not taking up to their carrying capacities. 2013 JAMB UTME results released, 12,110 results withheld

The 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results has been released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, announced this at a news conference on the release of the results in Bwari, FCT, on Friday adding that the board, however, withheld 12,110 results for possible disciplinary action.
