Pandemonium broke out at the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri on Wednesday October 19, as overzealous security operatives fired canisters of teargas to disperse agitating members of Joint Health Sector Union who were protesting the recall of Dr. Mrs. Angela Uwakwem as the substantive Chief Medical Director of the health facility. The Imo State police command has arrested four suspected kidnappers at World Bank area of Owerri over the alleged abduction of 45-year-old, Mrs. Chikwado Nwosu at Egbeada. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu told Daily Sun that the four kidnappers had been terrorizing Owerri and it’s environ.   Lolo Esther Uzoma, wife of Prof. Protus Uzoma, a university lecturer and newspaper columnist, who was abducted last Sunday in her World Bank Estate Owerri, has been set free. Gunmen had abducted Lolo Uzoma at about 10 pm last Sunday.
