Fr. Joseph Ntamere joins Saints triumphant at 66

The body of Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Ntamere was laid to rest on May 17, 2017 after a Pontifical Requiem Mass held at St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral Okigwe. The Mass was presided over by Most Rev. Okigwe Senate re-run: PDP petitions INEC over indefinite post-ponement

Members of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Okigwe Senatorial Zone embarked on peaceful protest over the indefinite postponement of the botched Imo re-run elections. The agitating members of the party in their numbers took their protests to the various INEC offices across the six local governments of Okigwe zone which include: Onuimo, Okigwe, Isiala-Mbano, Ehime Mbano, Ihitte Uboma and Obowo respectively.   Activities marking the 2015 World Union Council of Catholic Women Organization (WUCCWO) week in Okigwe Diocese have drawn to a close with the grand-finale events held at the Diocesan Council level, Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Since my recent published news article, “Who takes over from Rochas?”, I have received a number of phone calls from people reacting to that publication.  Some of the callers share my views on power rotation and what can be done to move Imo state forward while a few others are downright insulting in their reactions.
