  Students of St. Peter Claver Seminary Okpala have reasons to rejoice, following the donation of a beautiful Hilux utility vehicle to them by some Old Boys of their institution. The donors are members of the class which was admitted in 1983 into the Mater Ecclesiae Seminary Nguru Mbaise and later proceeded to St. Peter Claver Seminary Okpala where they graduated in 1988. On Thursday September 6, 2016, Ahiara clergy, the religious and lay faithful, gathered at the Maria Ecclesial Catholic Cathedral Ahiara Mbaise once more to bury late Rev Fr Patrick Ezenwa Iwejuo who until his death was the parish priest of Annunciation Parish Umuchieze Ahiazu LGA Mbaise. His mortal remains were interred in the diocesan priestly cemetery after a Requiem Mass at the Cathedral celebrated by more than 86 priests within and outside the diocese including his 1995 classmates. St. Michael’s Amakohia donates foodstuff, cash to St. Peter Claver Seminary

St. Michael’s Catholic Parish Amakohia Uratta, last Tuesday, April 29, 2014 presented foodstuffs and a cash donation of N50,000 to the St. Peter Claver Seminary Okpala for the feeding of the seminarians. The gifts consisted of tubers of yam, bags of rice, beans, garri and corn as well as palm and vegetable oils. Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of the Parish Pastoral Council, Barr.   President Goodluck Jonathan’s declaration of a state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states has received the blessing of the Christian Association of ngieria (CAN), the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) . But the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and its National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu rejected the decision. Emma Onyebuchi Ogu, Spiritual Director, Mater Ecclesiae Seminary Nguru Aboh Mbais as he celebrated 40 years of his priestly ordination on April 28, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Parish Umunama.
