Mbaise Royal Fathers honour Senator Bright Nwanne as High Chief

Distinguished Senator Bright Nwanne has been conferred with the High Chief title of “Ugwu dikeoha I” by the Council of Mbaise Traditional Rulers. The ceremony took place on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the palace of HRM Eze Chidume Okoro, Chairman Mbaise Council of Traditional Rulers and Deputy Chairman Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers. Owerri Peoples Assembly calls for violence – Free polls

  The Owerri Peoples Assembly (OPA), the umbrella organ for Owerri People in the nine local government areas of the zone and in diaspora, has admonished politicians and their supporters to be law-abiding and avoid any form of violence throughout the campaigns and elections. The organization has also adviced the electorate to accept the results of the elections when announced without resorting to violence. It has also appealed to all those who have not collected their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to do so immediately.
