Killings: Prayer- Protest Holds June 5 in Owerri

  The Prayer-Protest in solidarity with victims of Benue State massacre and other security challenges, holds on Tuesday June 5, in Owerri Archdiocese. The protest earlier scheduled for May 22, 2018 was postponed due to security concerns. The programme begins with Rosary Procession at 8am from Villa Maria, along Wetheral Road, passing through Government House Roundabout, through Assumpta Avenue to Maria Assumpta Cathedral where the procession will be concluded with Holy Mass at 12 noon. The faithful are expected to dress in their various group uniform.

Yakubu Gowon: Nigeria’s prayer warrior

  Former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon is on a nationwide prayer tour. Last week his caravan made a brief stop-over in Owerri, Imo State, where the man met with Governor Rochas Okorocha.
