The Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri has lost a priest,  Rev. Fr. Ambrose Chijike Eburuche, aged 34. A native of Obokwe, Obettiti, Nguru, in Aboh Mbaise LGA Imo State, Fr. Ambrose died in his sleep in the early hours of Tuesday October 3 , 2017. Ordained priest on August 7, 2015, Fr Ambrose was serving as curate at St. Mark’s Catholic Parish, New Owerri. In continuation of his evangelization visit to stations in St. Mark’s Catholic Parish New Owerri, the parish priest, Rev. Msgr. Kevin Akagha on Monday June 19, visited Sacred Heart Station, World Bank.   In his homily during Mass, Msgr. Some mothers are turning Churches into refectory – Fr. Mark Njoku

  The Parish Priest of St. Mark’s Catholic Parish, New Owerri, Rev. Fr. Mark Njoku has condemned the attitude of some parents who feed their children during Mass as if they are in a refectory. Speaking at the end of Mass on Sunday, Fr. Mark observed that parents come to Church with all sorts of food, snacks and mineral and feed their children who are not infants, while the Mass is going on.
