Nze Godwin Amaku, the President, All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, Imo State Branch, Sunday, 26 May 2013 received an award from the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria, St. Charles Umunumo Chapter.

The unique event took place at the St. Charles Parish Umunumo, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area.

In a citation, the youths stated that Nze Godwin Amaku was being honoured for distinguishing himself in his career and for his unrivaled contributions towards societal development.

The youths praised his support in championing the successful execution of communal projects which include freewill donations towards construction of community Town Hall and his transparency in handling their electricity projects.

He was eulogized for spear-heading the reconstruction of St. Monica’s Catholic Church building to an enviable height.

Glowing tributes were also paid for his active participation in the resolution of the crisis that rocked St. Charles Parish in the past.

Nze Godwin Amaku was praised for helping to secure appointments for numerous youths from the community.

The Parent Teachers Association and students of Amaraku Secondary School, Isiala Mbano where Nze Amaku is the principal also appreciated his managerial acumen and ability to render quality service.

In a release signed by the PTA Chairman, Hon. T. Amadi described the awardee as an amiable and dynamic principal who leads with examples.

Nze Godwin Amaku was born in the late 50s and attended Community Secondary School and University of Nigeria where he bagged a Second Class Upper in Mathematics.

He teaches Physics and Mathematics but presently he is an executive member of Confederation of all Nigeria Principals of Secondary School in Nigeria.

Nze Amaku was singled out for his contribution towards sound academic and moral upbringing of youths within the ten years period he taught at Community Secondary School Umunumo, Ehime Mbano.  It is now apparent that a prophet is now known in his home.

Other awardees at the event include: Engr. Paulinus Udechukwu, Deputy GK of Knights of St. Mulumba, Nsu sub-Council who is also an alumnus of Community Secondary School Umunumo.

Engr. Pauly Okey Udechukwu, an ardent politician of PDP extraction who possesses noble character, admired and loved by his people is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Pastay Services Ltd., a technical outfit that is into agro and construction activities.

The Parish Priests of St. Charles Catholic Parish Umunumo, Very Rev. Fr. Donatus Uwah spoke with THE LEADER and enunciated that the quality of personalities bestowed with awards gave credence to the abundance of high profile personalities that the Umunumo Community is endowed with.
