The debris after the fire incident

The family house of Mr. Vitalis Ndunaka and his brother, Mr. Sunday Uregbuo was totally gutted by fire on July 1, 2013.

According to an eye witness the inferno started at about 7.15pm and like wild fire, engulfed the entire building within 15 minutes.

According to one of the tenants, Pastor Dominion Peterside, “on that very day at exactly 7.15pm, I went out to buy something for my family.  On my way coming back I heard voices shouting fire, fire, so I hurried to see what was happening and behold it was the house I was living in.  As I approached the building, flames were coming out from the roof top.  I asked my wife what happened, she said she did not know because that she was in the bathroom to take her bath when she heard voices shouting “pastor, pastor”, then she ran out from the bathroom only to see the roof covered with flames of fire”.

According to him, all efforts by the fire service men and people around to extinguish the fire was unsuccessful.  The whole house was completely destroyed by the mysterious fire.

He said that goods, including household items were completely burnt as nothing was saved.
