Senator Araraume hosts St. John Int’l – Donates Bus, N1 million

Distinguished Senator Ifeanyichukwu Godwin Araraume at the feast of St. John the Baptist, hosts the Knights and Ladies of St. John Int’l, Holy Family Commandery 564 and Our Lady Star of the Sea Laux 490 Isiala-Mbano that celebrated the feast of her Patron Saint on June 30, 2013 at her permanent site at St. Paul’s Catholic Parish Osu.

The occasion began with Mass which was concelebrated by the Spiritual advise of the commandery, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Greg Ohagwu and the District XI Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Prof. Okonkwo Jerome (Okeosisi) in his sermon reminded the members that when God comes into their life, they must change, which means they cannot remain the same again.

The highlight of the occasion was an appeal by the commandery to members for donation to the ongoing chapel building project.  The members responded with various amounts to the building project and one of the cadets, Mr. Obinna Araraume appreciated the commandery with N250,000.

The hallmark of the occasion was when distinguished Senator Araraume who also was the host, stood up, thanked the members and those who brought him into the knighthood of St. John Int’l and more thanks to his dear wife, Barr. Gladys Araraume for her encouragement and support.

The Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria admitted that despite the two unmarried phenomena – “Business and Politics” that is found in man’s life, that his spiritual life has changed and made a donation of one bus and 1 million Naira to enable the commandey carry out her activities and to lift up the chapel project.

Dignitaries at the occasion were the District Commander, Noble Major Peter Ekwelem, Grand Trustee, Capt. Ajaegbu, 1st Vice Stanley Onuoha, Correspondence Secretary, Sir Duru.

Others were: Respected President Noble Sister Rosemary Ekwelem, the Past Respected President, Noble Sis. Comfort Obinwanne and Recording Sec. Laux, Sis. Violet Unuogu.

Those who accompanied Senator Araraume were his dear wife Bar. Gladys, his 2nd son, Obinna Nze Ekwueme and his wife, Hon. Stanley Nzekwe, Hon. Ebere Nwachukwu, Chief Emeka Alaneme, Obi South, Mrs. Ogechi Anyanwu, Sunny C. Nzeomigba.
