Miss ISOPADEC challenges youths to imbibe Christian virtues
As part of activities marking this year’s Valentine celebration, Miss ISOPADEC, Queen Chidinma Chukwulebe who is known for her pro-activeness going by her achievements within the short time she has spent in office so far, organized a workshop for women aimed at educating them on the numerous advantages inherent in living a responsible life as well as challenging them to take full advantage of the enormous opportunities available to them to achieve their set goals in life. The workshop sponsored by the ISOPADEC took place at EgbemaCommunitySecondary School on February 14, 2014.
Queen Chukwulebe Chidinma in her lecture spoke on the topic: Harnessing Your Potentials As a Good Christian Youth. She educated her audience made up of female students of the school on the challenges of growing into womanhood. She charged them to abstain from immoral relationship that normally involves pre-marital sex which often times result to several native consequences. She equally harped on the need to ensure neatness of their body and soul at all times. According to her, neatness is not about dressing expensively or irresponsibly but ensuring that whatever one is wearing is very clean and descent.
Miss ISOPADEC who is a medical student equally took time to educate her audience on some health challenges facing women and the need to prevent them. She taught them self breast examination to detect and prevent breast cancer, oral care, sexually transmitted diseases, menstrual cycle and its attendant challenges as well as general knowledge on personal hygiene.
Having re-awakened the inquisitive spirit of the young students, during the question and answer session of the workshop, she was practically bombarded with numerous questions which she duly provided answers to. The students gave their august visitor a standing ovation at the end of the entertaining workshop with their deputy senior prefect capping it up with a well prepared vote of thanks. The workshop equally featured the presentation of entertainment by the queen, sharing of exercise books as well as Lovers Day (what you should know), a book written by Rev. Fr. Simon Okezuo Nwobi which was shared to over three hundred students that attended the event.
Queen Chukwulebe Chidinma has honestly lived up to her billing as a queen. It would be recalled that not long ago, precisely on the 9th of February, she had celebrated her birthday with Owerri Motherless Babies Home and equally visited hospitals and institutions both within and outside the oil producing areas making presentation of varied gift items.
