Msgr. Akagha explained that the endowment fund, which the Spiritual Year Seminary launched in 2010, is still on for sponsorship of seminarians. He said already there are people who are doing this at the moment especially from Assumpta Parish and encouraged others to help in the training of future priests.

Speaking at the occasion, the Administrator of the Cathedral, Rev. Fr. Andrew Nkwocha, said that the seminarians are our future priests; therefore it is very important that they should be encouraged and supported through the annual visits and individual donations.
