LSM, Owerri Metro Council elects new exco

The Ladies of St. Mulumba (LSM) Owerri Metropolitan Council has elected a new executive.

According to a press release issued in Owerri, Lady Chinedu Brown was elected President while Lady Bernadine Asawalam emerged Secretary.  Lady Francisca Ngozi Aronu clinched the post of Financial Secretary while Lady Appolonia Nzerem was elected Treasurer.

Others elected are: Lady Pauline Anumu – Vice President, Lady Patricia Ngozi Ekperi – Assistant Secretary, Nnenna Mary Kalu – Public Relations Officer and Roselyn Chigbu – Auditor.  Cordelia Okoli, Helen Anumudu and Margaret Kalayor emerged Provost I, Provost II and Provost III respectively.

In her acceptance speech, Lady Chinedu Brown, from Umuahia Diocese, thanked the LSM Owerri Metro Council for electing her and her team and assured them that they will not disappoint the council.  While pledging to consolidate on the good work of her predecessors, she however solicited for their co-operation in order to move Owerri Metro LSM to the next level.

It should be recalled that the election held on 20th November 2013, followed the expiration of the tenure of the former executive led by Lady Njoku.
