FRSC official, 2 others paraded for kidnapping in Imo

An official of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) and two others were  on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 paraded by the Imo State Police Command as suspected kidnappers.

The State Commissioner of Police, Abdul Ali, who addressed newsmen on the matter at the command’s headquarters in Owerri, said that the suspect and his gang had abducted one Cyril Echesi at Uli in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

According to the police boss, the gang allegedly led by one Cyprian, were taking their victim to Ahoada in Rivers State when they were apprehended by the command’s Scorpion Squad following a tip off.

Also paraded by the police were members of a notorious gang of cattle rustlers, who allegedly specialized in attacking and killing herdsmen in the bush and stealing their cows.

The suspects, who included Christian and Ifeanyi were said to have invaded a cattle base and made away with 32 cows after killing the herdsman identified as Usman.

According to the police boss, 17 of the stolen cows were recovered after the suspects were arrested
