Hon. Dimaku donates bus to Ehime Mbano PDP – Declares interest for second term bid

Hon. Kingsley Nwabueze Dimaku,  member Imo State House of Assembly member representing Ehime Mbano State Constituency has donated a bus to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

As part of its effort to reclaim Imo State come 2015, Ehime Mbano Chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had its prayers answered on Saturday, March 15, 2014 when Hon. Kingsley Dimaku donated a 14 seater bus to the party.

At an elaborate ceremony held at his Agbaja residence, the lawmaker informed the party exco and stakeholders that the gift of the bus to the party was in fulfillment of a pledge he made last year.

Hon. Dimaku narrated his ugly experiences in the House of Assembly for rebuffing overtures to decamp to the ruling APC government in Imo State.  He lamented the deprivations he had suffered for not jettisoning the party that brought him to office as a legislator.  Hon. Dimaku informed the august assembly of his resolve to remain steadfast to the ideals of democracy and also protect his integrity.

Hon. Dimaku craved the indulgence of party faithful to allow him run for another tenure under its umbrella.

The event was graced by Hon. Robinson Ekwebelem, members Imo House of Assembly  representing Onuimo State Constituency, Chief Martins Nnadozie, Chief J.C. Ekpunobi, the LGA party Chairman, Hon. Ogaraku Chidiebere and Mrs. Agnes Onyema,  women leader.

Other prominent politicians at the event include Prof. Anyanwu, Chief Igbokwe, Arc. Mac Tony Iwuoha and Comrade Ebiziem Jude Ebiziem.

In his contribution, Chief J.C. Ekpunobi eulogized Hon. Dimaku for not abandoning the party.  He also thanked him for sacrificing a lot on behalf of the party.  He however intimated the audience that people are free to express their interest to run for any elective office as everyone has a democratic right to aspire to any office.

He however prayed that the track record of the incumbent assembly man will be meticulously looked into when the choice of who will carry the party flag at the appropriate time.  Former chairman of the council, Chief Albert Nnorom noted that Hon. Kingsley Dimaku has become the rallying point after the loss of the state to APC.  It is noteworthy that Ehime Mbano Chapter of Peopls Democratic Party now has three buses in its kitty.  Chief Athan Achonu had earlier donated a coaster bus, while Ambassador Mathew Nwagwu also gave a brand new commuter bus, plus the 14 seater bus donated by Hon. Kingsley Dimaku.  It is also remarkable that the 11 wards of the party that constitute Ehime Mbano also own a tricycle each.  While every ward chairman received a motorcycle through Ambassador Ifeanyi Nwagwu, Senator representing Imo North in the Senate of the federal republic of Nigeria.
