St Micheal’s Parish Umuguma Raises fund for Parish Projects
It was a joyous day for all Christian mothers especially the Catholic Women Organization of St Michael’s Parish Umuguma as they marked the 2014 Mother’s Day Celebration.

The ceremony which stated with a Holy Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Justin Mbonu and assisted by Fr. Henry Nwanguma attracted friends and well wishers of the CWO from and around Umuguma community.
Delivering the Homily, Fr. Nwanguma reminded Christians that God sees and places more emphasis on the unseen. He urged Christians not to concentrate on the seen. Furthermore, the clergyman condemned the craze by people for material things and eye-service.
Reflecting on the Readings of the day, the homilist enjoined Christians to always see the hand of God in every thing that happens in their lives and to obey God’s will to gain His blessings.
Speaking on the event of the day, the priest reminded Christian mothers that their position is a privilege; noting that NOT all women are mothers, He condemned the behavior of some Catholic women who take the Blessed Sacrament for granted, and also advised mothers not to lose their consciousness as mothers in order to be diligent in their roles as mothers in the family, church and community at large.
The highlight of the occasion was a fund raising to assist the CWO of the Parish in their numerous projects.
In a chat with the LEADER, the CWO President of the Parish Mrs. Rita Edoziem expressed joy and advised Catholic mothers to be role models where ever they find themselves. She thanked those who came to honor their invitation and prayed God to bless all mothers.
