Nonyerem weds Ferdinand

It was all praises to God Almighty and jubilation for the families of Dr. Benedict and Mrs. Benardette Iheasirim and Comrade Cyril and Mrs. Stella Ako, both of Enyigugu in Aboh Mbaise local government Area of Imo State, as their children Ferdinand Chidiebere Iheasirim and Nonyerem Stella Ako were joined in Holy Matrimony at St. Joseph’s Catholic Chaplaincy, IMSU, Owerri on Saturday February 22, 2014.

The wedding Mass was celebrated by the Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Dr. Anthony P.C. Njoku, assisted by Rev. Fr. Chrisanctus Onwumere of Ahiara Diocese and two other priests from Awka and Abuja dioceses.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Anthony Njoku said that marriage is predicated on the principle of one man one woman. He advised couples to love each other with passion and be humble enough to accommodate each other’s shortcomings. He emphasized on the importance of sincerity, kindness, patience, forgiveness and reconciliation as well as family prayers. The priest appealed to parents and relations of couples to pray for them always and avoid unnecessary interference in the affairs of their newly children.

It was celebration galore at CATOL Owerri, the venue of reception where guests including important dignitaries were feasted sumptuously.

In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the reception, Dr. Ken I. Nwosu, Abia State Hon. Commissioner for Agriculture reiterated the meaning of matrimony as contained in the catechism of the Catholic Church. He was optimistic that the groom and the bride would live exemplary life worthy of emulation because both of them come from good Catholic families with common cultural affinity. Dr. Nwosu extolled the good qualities of the bride, Nonyerem and told the groom, Fred Chidiebere that his wife is a pearl among women and urged him to love her as Christ loves His Church.

In his vote of thanks, the groom, Fred Chidiebere on behalf of his wife thanked their guests for supporting them. He finally prayed God to grant everybody journey mercies to their respective homes
