Knights of Mulumba, Ulakwo Sub-Council admits Bro Sunny Ndukwu
It was jubilation all the way at Ulakwo Sub-Council of the ancient Order of St’ Mulumba, Nigeria as Brother and Sister Sunny and Nkechi Ndukwu joined the indigenous Order of St. Mulumba, Nigeria.
Brother Sunny Ndukwu, a renowned Journalist and Co-publisher of the Record Express Newspaper, a regional tabloid based in Owerri was on Thursday August 18 alongside twelve other brothers from the ten Sub-Councils in Owerri Metro Diocese initiated into the ancient Order of St. Mulumba, Nigeria.
The grand finale of the investiture which took place following Sunday at St’ Mulumba Parish, Wetheral Road, Owerri with a Thanksgiving Mass which was attended by Owerri Metro Officers of the Order and Grand Knights of the ten sub-councils as well as other members of knight and Ladies of St’ Mulumba, Nigeria.
Rev. Fr. Tochi in his homily, urged the new initiates to emulate their seniors in terms of their generous and philanthropic role in the Church as well as mankind. He advised that their selection for investiture is nothing but a call to serve in God’s vineyard and as well grow their spiritual life.
Speaking to the press, Sir Sunny Ndukwu (KSM), expressed gratitude to God for his selection by Knights from his home parish, St’ Thomas Catholic Church, Umuowa, Ngor Okpala, who proposed his investiture among other parishioners, adding that it is indeed a call to serve in God’s vineyard while restating his commitment in empowering the less privileged within and outside his locality.
