Christians have been called upon to be thankful to God at all times and make sacrifices for propagation of the gospel.
Rev. Fr. Lawrence Nwachukwu Okwosa (SDV) said this in a homily during Easter Sunday Mass/Thanksgiving in appreciation of God’s graces/favours by Prince Faith Uche Iwuorisha for his two-term tenure (December 2010 – Feb. 2018) as President of the CMO of the Parish/Zone. The celebration took place at Sacred Heart Parish Oguta.
Fr. Okwosa asserted that nothing is impossible for God to do (Ifeanyichukwu) and whosoever professes Christ and work in his ways shall never be disappointed. He enjoined Christians to have faith in God to become victors no matter the situation.
The Mass was celebrated by the Parish priest, Rev Frs. Michael Chiagorom, Julian Ilo, Asst. Parish Priest and Chief celebrant and Lawrence Nwachukwu Okwosa who preached the homily.
Later at a grand reception organized by his family, Prince Iwuorisha showered praises on his wife, Henrietta for her understanding and care. He thanked CMO members for their co-operation and support and pledged to continue to work in God’s vineyard as long as he lives, recalling God’s saving grace to the Iwuorisha family during a fire incident that gutted their house early this year.
The reception was witnessed by Ezinna Sir Alphonsus Iwuorisha and Diamond Mother Lady Catherine Iwuorisha (parents of the celebrant), Ojiabu Amb. John Onyemaize, Mr. C.A. Ezemba, Arc. Sir Paul Anozie, Barr. & Mrs. Joseph Nwadike among others.
Our reporter said guests eulogized Prince Faith Iwuorisha for his leadership qualities, noting that during his tenure, he raised CMO to the next level at the parish, zone and Archdiocesan levels.
