Comrade Kyrian Uchenna Ibe, the Imo State governorship candidate of Democratic People’s Congress (DPC) has promised to build an egalitarian state where citizens deserve equal rights, have a true sense of pride and opportunity to actualize their dreams.
Comrade Ibe, whose slogan is “Emancipation 2019,” gave this assurance while interacting with some Imo professionals and elites recently.
The guber hopeful said his administration will fight to end poverty and hunger in the state by ensuring food security, improved nutrition and promote well-being for all ages.
On education, Comrade Ibe said his administration will ensure quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunity for all.
It is also part of his manifesto to achieve gender equality and empower women and girls, adding that his deputy is a woman, Mrs. Kenny Adaeze Ogbuehi.
Worried by lack of pipe borne water in the state, the DPC guber candidate promised availability of water and sustainable management of sanitation in the state.
Disturbed by youth unemployment in Imo State, the guber candidate said he will promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full of productive employment for the unemployed.
“I will recover all stolen money in the state and retrieve lands and other properties taken by force,” he vowed.
Comrade Ibe is pained by the pitiable condition of pensioners in the state and promised to address their plights as well as that of civil servants, who will, on his assumption of office, receive their full salaries as at when due.
He expressed regret that Imo State is split along zones and promised to re-unite the various zones to ensure peaceful co-existence.
“All these and many more are possible if ndi Imo vote me via DPC,” he noted, adding that the Imo of our collective dream is within reach in this 2019.
