IMSU Vice-Chancellor bags Commonwealth Fellowship

History was made in Imo State University, Owerri on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 as the Vice-Chancellor of Imo State University, Arc. Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie, fnia, was decorated by the Africa CHOGM College of Higher Institutions as a fellow of Millennium Development Leadership for Rights.

Presenting the fellowship certificate on behalf of the Institute, the Director, Arc. A.N. Eluwa, described the academic as a goal oriented Vice-Chancellor, whose leadership style is in line with the Millennium Development Goals Agenda.  She hinted that the fellowship is only given to special personalities who have distinguished themselves in various leadership capacities.

It is worthy to note that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan along the Queen of England are Fellows of CHOGM.

In his own words, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the institute for finding him worthy to be a Fellow of the Millennium Development Leadership for Rights and promised to ensure that he lived up to expectation of a Fellow of the Institute.

In the same vein, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the Governor for the free education policy in Imo State and securing the future for Imo State, through the free education policy which is in line with the Millennium Development Goals.
