sex on the increaseReports say more and more children are being sexually molested in the country. Pedophiles who can sexually abuse even babies in arms are everywhere, according to the reports.

Most of the sex abusers are no strangers to the children, so said the reports. Instead, they are family members, neighbours and those whom the children know; trust and their parents have no difficulties leaving them alone with.

There are increasing media reports about child abuse and molestation. In some cases, these minors, including babies are molested by those they trust and look up to for protection.

In one  of the reported cases, “the Ezinwa family (not their real name) usually left their daughter Favour in the care of her uncle, her father’s younger brother. Unknown to them, each time the uncle, aged 35, was alone with the toddler, he would put his penis in her mouth and ejaculate, making the baby ingest seminal fluid. With time, Favour became very sick, lost so much weight and had bloated stomach. It took the death of the toddler, months later and an autopsy for the uncle to confess,” a report said.
